Granada

Granada, a magical city to discover

At the foot of the Sierra Nevada, between the rivers Darro and Genil, lies one of the most interesting cities in Eastern Andalusia. The impressive Andalusian legacy is combined with architectural jewels of the Renaissance and the most modern facilities of the 21st century.

LA ALHAMBRA

A landmark location.

An early morning walk up to the Alhambra, known as the eighth wonder of the world and a World Heritage Site, is the best thing to do in Granada.
Situated on the top of al-Sabika hill with the Sierra Nevada in the background, this imposing complex of beautiful palaces, gardens and an Andalusian-style fortress was built by order of the Nasrid King Muhammad ben al-Ahmar in 1238 and after the Christian reconquest it went from housing the emir and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom, to becoming the royal residence of Castile, as well as undergoing several renovations and extensions.

EL ALBAYCIN

Magical

The Albaicín, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is the oldest and most charming neighbourhood to see in Granada.
This neighbourhood, which stretches from San Miguel hill to Elvira street, is ideal for getting lost in its labyrinthine narrow streets where the Arab essence remains and finding its most charming corners.

MIRADOR SAN NICOLAS

Special

Located in the upper part of the Albaicín neighbourhood, the Mirador de San Nicolás is the most popular viewpoint in Granada because it has the best views of the Alhambra with the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains in the background.
The best time to get to the viewpoint is just before sunset to sit on the wall and wait for the sun to set, while the city lights up.
If it is very crowded you can go to the Placeta de los Carvajales, which offers excellent views of the Alhambra and the Generalife, or go into the courtyard of the Great Mosque of Granada, which has a more peaceful view of the Alhambra.

CALLE NAVAS

Life and Gastronomy

Welcome to Navas Street in Granada, the city's most popular street for nightlife and gastronomy. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere full of bars and restaurants, you've come to the right place. Navas Street is known for its wide variety of tapas bars, each with its own specialties and flavors. This street is the perfect place to enjoy authentic local cuisine and immerse yourself in the vibrant Spanish culture.
One of the great experiences this neighborhood offers is to enter one of its famous caves at dusk to enjoy a zambra, a gypsy party where flamenco is sung and danced.

SIERRA NEVADA

Privileged

The ski and mountain resort of Sierra Nevada, as an essential part of Andalusia's tourist offer and an international benchmark for snow tourism, allows visitors to enjoy an enviable climate while practising sport or contemplating nature due to its privileged location. Europe's southernmost ski resort offers visitors excellent snow facilities less than two hours from the coast and just a few kilometres from the monumental and historic city of Granada. Sierra Nevada provides a wide range of experiences that draw snow sports enthusiasts to its white slopes, illuminated by the southern sun.
